about
I initially wrote the lyrics to this song in trying to come to terms with my thoughts and feelings towards disturbing allegations of sexual assault close to home in the entertainment industry in Toronto. It seems just as timely to be releasing these thoughts to the world now. It’s been made very clear that while we’ve made positive strides in the #metoo and #timesup movements there is a lot of work to do; a lot to fight for and we have to stay vigilant. What I’m saying with this song is #IBelieveHer, I stand behind my sisters and I believe we can find equality!

lyrics
Time’s up,
Tired of the silence
I’m so,
Sick of the violence
Oh, oh, please
I believe in your struggle
I believe in your dreams
I believe we can do better, can do anything
I believe in my sisters
I believe in drawing lines
You can believe we are coming, cause it’s time, time, time
Here we stand and we won’t leave empty handed
Our voices loud and clear
Cause we’re at the end of our patience, our patience
Now we’re here, we’re here, we’re here
Time’s up,
Tired of the silence
I’m so,
Sick of the violence
Oh, oh, please
Ya we know we’re gonna break through
Just follow our lead
And we know can’t close our eyes now
Can’t say that we can’t see
Here we stand and we won’t leave empty handed
Our voices loud and clear
Cause we’re at the end of our patience, our patience
Now we’re here, we’re here, we’re here
Time’s up,
Tired of the silence
I’m so,
Sick of the violence
Oh, oh, please
